It started as passion for the music and love for the scene. A curiosity, a creative outlet. Playing events became throwing them - all in an effort to spread great experiences and love.
My Story
LOX (based: Kalamazoo, Michigan) propels you onward and upward with high energy sets, groovy good vibes and sore necks from behind the decks. He is a freestyle DJ that seeks to spread good vibes and great experiences through audio visual experience. Growing up in Detroit to the sounds of 70s and 80s classic rock, pop and dance music began his lifelong music journey that includes interest in diverse sounds like alternative/punk rock, metal/metalcore, and rap and hip hop. With EDM roots stemming from the mainstage sounds of dance and big room, his interests span across many of the EDM subgenres. LOX mainly mixes various styles of bass music (ex: space bass, brostep, tear out, riddim, melodic dubstep - among others), but do not be surprised if you find 4x4 beats belting from the sound system. LOX injects the dancefloor with energy no matter the stage – whether he’s playing his local legendary venue Papa Pete’s, popping up for a renegade set at Electric Forest with Sweet Sounds Collective’s Above Ground project, closing out the Silent Disco at Dancefestopia, warming up metro Detroit’s premier nightclub Elektricity, supporting headliner acts like DirtySnatcha and MYTHM, or traveling across the country to play top tier venues like Las Vegas’s Area 15. In addition to live events, you can regularly catch LOX live on Twitch as a part of the Team Takedown Tuesday Raid Train, among other streams.
